From a copilot answer to a Monday trade pack

WORKFLOWS
From a copilot answer to a Monday trade pack
INSIDE THIS POST

It started as a question in the copilot. Which styles lost sales last week because they ran out? The answer came back as a chart of units sold and lost sales by week, with every figure traceable to its source. It was a good answer. It was also one a merchandiser would want every week.

The answer stays an answer

The copilot answers and changes nothing. That is deliberate. A question about the numbers should never move the numbers, so the answer sits there until a person decides what it is worth.

Turning it into a workflow

The merchandiser's next step was to ask for the same answer on a schedule. The question became the first step of a workflow: read the week, find the styles running behind their clean-week rate of sale, draft the reorders. Each step is visible while it runs, and each is the same step the merchandiser had been doing by hand.

Monday at six

The workflow now runs at the start of the trading week. By the time the team sits down, the proposals are drafted and the summary is written. The reorders still wait for approval, and every run stays on the record, so the pack on the table is one a person has signed off, not one the system decided.

Turn merchandising decisions into workflows.
